Aaron asks how to develop a good photographic eye. It's like learning anything else. Try some stuff. Make mistakes. Try again. Look at other people's photographs, and learn why you like them. Analyze, then step back and just enjoy the photographs. Learn to draw. It will help. The main key is keep trying. Try new things. See what works and what does not. Talk to people whose photographs you admire. Take too many pictures of the same thing. Learn about light. Take a day or an hour and just look at how light affects things. Visit new places. Look around. Take a few pictures. Take some more. Have fun.

I am sure there is more. The point is to just do it. That is how you learn anything. If you don't know where to start, take a college photography course or two. Learn the entire film photography process. Use the simplest camera you can find. Make sure it has full manual controls though. That is it has to have a focus, aperature and shutter settings. Find an old Pentax K-1000 or Canon AE-1. Develop and print your own pictures. Then take your digital camera and start shooting. Don't forget to learn to draw. Really. Take Drawing I, and Drawing II. Usually still-life, and life drawing. That teaches to you see. You will learn about composition and the qualities of light and dark.

Good luck. It's a never ending journey. Enjoy the ride.

Hi there, just testing Hep to see if it's working. Its a message server that so far can read RSS files and email them to you. It also accepts email which then is posted to a weblog.

I need to install spamassassin with qmail and vpopmail. Yeah, qmail is a pain. But it works, so I only need to install procmail and spamassassin with it to make it all work. Links
